What is www.LuxuryHotelist.com?
LuxuryHotelist.com is a consumer website exclusive to four and five star hotels from around the world. We have over 30,000 luxury hotels in our inventory and pride ourselves in providing competitive rates at top destinations worldwide.
When/where were you established?
LuxuryHotelist.com was established in July 2011 by its CEO/Founder Cal Simmons, previously the founder of FiveStarAlliance.com. LuxuryHotelist.com’s home office is located in Alexandria, VA, a suberb of Washington D.C.
What is the browse by photo feature?
The browse by photo is a unique feature that allows consumers to view thumbnails of a variety of hotel styles, all at a quick glance. Click on the tab and you will be directed to a page where you can choose to either sort the “browse by photo” section by city or category. Click either a city or category and you will be directed to a page with a number of luxury hotel photo thumbnails that fits your selection, so you may see which property best fits your individual needs.
How can I enter your contest?
There are a number of options available to fans/customers that want to enter our contests and giveaways. Those options and number of entries received for each action are detailed in the table below. Multiple entries per fan are encouraged. Fans are not limited to the number of entries they may submit for each contest or giveaway unless stated otherwise on a per-contest basis.

How do you pick a winner for your contests?
A contest winner will be drawn at random from the pool of eligible entries from the corresponding month. The drawing will take place on the last day of every month and the winner will be notified within 7 business days of selection.
How do I receive my two free room nights?
In order to be eligible to enter the contest, you must provide a valid postal address for the free two (2) night stay certificate to be mailed to you. Certificates are unable to be distributed via email.
Can I get a same day hotel reservation on www.LuxuryHotelist.com?
Yes! Just make your reservation before 11 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST). Please note that same day reservations may not be available in all locations or cities.
Can I reserve a hotel room for someone else?
You can purchase a hotel room for someone else as long as you are at least 21 years of age, and the person for whom you are booking a room is at least 21 years of age and can present the appropriate identification necessary for check-in.
How far in advance can I make my hotel reservation?
You can make a reservation for a hotel room up to 11 months in advance of your check-in date.
How old do I have to be to book a hotel room?
You must be at least 21 years old to book a hotel room through www.LuxuryHotelist.com
Is there a limit to the number of rooms I can reserve?
You can reserve up to 4 rooms at a time on www.LuxuryHotelist.com- provided they all have the same check-in and check-out dates. Each room can be reserved under a different name - just list the names in the space provide. Please note, you cannot divide charges between credit cards.
Can I add nights to my hotel reservation?
If you need to add nights to your hotel booking, go to www.LuxuryHotelist.com and, if available, select the hotel where your original room(s) booked. You can then proceed to book your additional nights. Keep in mind that you may have to switch rooms during your stay unless you are able to coordinate this directly with the hotel.
Can I add rooms to my hotel reservation?
If you would like to add rooms to your reservation, please return to www.LuxuryHotelist.com to book the additional accommodations. Please keep in mind that your hotel may not have the same room type or rates available.
Can I change or cancel my hotel rooms?
We are unable to make changes to your reservation once confirmed. The option to cancel a hotel reservation depends upon the policy presented at the time of your purchase.
Can I check-in early or late?
Check-in and check-out times vary by hotel. Check with the hotel that holds your reservation for specific details.
Early Check-In: If you are hoping to check in a few hours early on your scheduled date of arrival, it will depend upon the hotel’s availability and you may be charged a fee. As is standard hotel industry practice, check-in times are typically after 3 p.m. the day of arrival. Most hotels will hold your luggage if they are unable to accommodate your schedule.
Late Check-in: As with any hotel reservation, we suggest that you contact the hotel if you plan to arrive late in the day. If you are going to be delayed or find that you cannot check-in to your hotel on the date you requested, you should contact the hotel to let them know. If you don't check-in to the hotel on the first day of your reservation, and you do not alert the hotel in advance, the remaining portion of your reservation will be canceled and you will not be entitled to a refund. Calling the hotel to make them aware of the delay will help to secure your room.

Can I get a cot, rollaway bed or crib?
All hotel rooms are guaranteed for occupancy by two adults.
Special requests are at the discretion of the hotel. The hotel will be happy to accommodate you if fire-safety laws allow it and the type of extra bedding you need is available.
Keep in mind that requests for these items, if available, may result in additional fees payable directly to the hotel.
Can I get a handicapped-accessible room?
If you have special needs (e.g., wheelchair accessible room) you must call the hotel and verify that special needs can be met. Most hotels will be glad to accommodate you if rooms are available. Your hotel reservation will be refunded, canceled or modified if the particular hotel cannot meet special needs.
Can I make a hotel reservation if I am not a U.S. resident?
We do accept credit cards with select non-US billing addresses issued by non-US banking institutions. Reservations may be placed using an American Express, Discover, MasterCard or Visa debit or credit card. Click here for a list of eligible countries.

Important Information Regarding Exchange Rates: Purchases made on www.LuxuryHotelist.com are transacted exclusively in United States Dollars (USD). If you make a purchase from us using a non-USD-denominated credit or debit card, please be aware that, due to the constant fluctuation in exchange rates, our charge to your card or the estimated charge amount we provide you, may differ based on the exchange rate at the time you make your reservation versus the rate at the time the charge is reflected on your credit card statement. Also, in the event that we must credit your account, we will refund the exact USD amount initially charged and will not be responsible for any fluctuations in exchange rates which may cause differences in your billing statement.
Can I request a smoking or non-smoking room?
We make every effort to provide you with the room you requested however, as is standard hotel industry practice, smoking or non-smoking rooms cannot be guaranteed. We reserve your selected room type at the time of booking, the hotel assigns rooms based on their availability at check-in.

Do you offer international hotels?

Does my hotel rate include parking?
While some hotels may include parking in their rates, others may not and will charge you directly for this option. For more information on parking, please review the hotel details provided.
Does my hotel rate include continental breakfast?
We are unable to guarantee that you will receive continental breakfast with your hotel reservation.
Be sure to review the Hotel Details information on www.LuxuryHotelist.com for specific amenities the hotel may offer. Keep in mind that the availability of some amenities may require you to pay additional amounts payable directly to the hotel.
How can I be sure my hotel will have a pool?

Is there a charge if an extra person stays in my room?
All hotel rooms purchased through www.LuxuryHotelist.com are guaranteed to accommodate two adults. Be sure to check with the hotel if you plan on having more than 2 people stay in your room - the hotel may not allow extra guests due to fire safety laws.
If your hotel does allow extra guests, keep in mind that there may be additional charges. These charges vary and will be payable directly to the hotel - most likely at checkout.
If you are traveling with more than two adults, we recommend that you book more than one room.
What do I need to bring to the hotel for check-in?
Checking in is easy. You will need a government-issued photo ID (like a driver's license) and your hotel confirmation number - located on your itinerary. To print your itinerary just go to the "My Reservations" section of our website and select "Hotels." Most hotels require a credit card at check-in. If you do not have a credit card some properties may allow you to leave a cash deposit for incidentals. If you plan to leave a cash deposit, please call the hotel that holds your reservation to determine if this is possible and the amount required.
What hotels participate with www.LuxuryHotelist.com?

What if I need to change my check-in or check-out dates?
We can't make changes to your reservation once they have been confirmed.
You may be able to cancel your reservation based on the policy presented to you at the time of your booking.
Will I get frequent stay points at my hotel?
Reservations for hotel rooms made through www.LuxuryHotelist.com are not eligible for frequent stay points or other hotel loyalty programs.
Will my hotel have a courtesy car or shuttle?
While some hotels may offer a courtesy car or shuttle as part of your nightly room rate, others may not or will charge for this service.
